About the author
I was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia, and have spent my life serving others, both in uniform and beyond.
I proudly served my country as a U.S. Army Ranger with the 1st Ranger Battalion before beginning a 25-year career in law enforcement. During that career, I served in many roles to include as a SWAT officer and sniper, working in some of the most demanding and dangerous environments imaginable.
But of all the experiences and accomplishments throughout my career, the one closest to my heart was my time in the K-9 unit with my partner, Walker. The bond we shared and the work we did together remain the highlight of my professional life.
My experiences in the military and law enforcement have given me a firsthand appreciation for the courage, sacrifice, brotherhood, and resilience of those who serve. Those experiences now find their way into my writing, where I bring authenticity, realism, and a deep respect for the men and women who stand between ordinary people and extraordinary danger.
